Water Treatment Plant
NAMWATER is a commercial entity that supplies water to industries, municipalities, and the Directorate of Rural Water Supply of the Ministry of Agriculture. To achieve its vision of improving the availability and reliability of the infrastructure, NamWater initiated a project to critically evaluate its Asset Management (AM) practices and develop a formal AM policy, strategy, and master maintenance plan. NamWater also required a review of its maintenance activities, standards, and procedures, including its computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), as well as the development and implementation of detailed annual maintenance programs and budgets.
“This project has exceeded expectations, establishing a new way of thinking and working with formalized asset management in our organization, to generate long-term benefits.”
